Peru Trip

It all began with a trip to Peru.  In July of 2015, my daughter Ashley and I set off and immersed ourselves in the rich history of the country, exploring ancient history and learning of current customs and culture.  Experiencing this first hand leaves one in awe of the wonders and tranquility of the country, its culture and their camelids: the llamas and alpacas.

These amazing creatures are very much a part of the culture and live intimately among the people.  As visitors to the country, we experienced closeness with the alpacas and llama as they grazed freely with no fences. What a gift to experience these graceful, peaceful animals.

Once back home, I wanted to weave a bit of that Peruvian peacefulness into my life.  With my great love of animals, what better way than to bring some alpacas into my life and the lives of others.

After acquiring 10 acres and much preparation, Reggie and I have our own alpaca herd.  Thus the adventure begins as we recreate a little bit of Peru here in Texas.
